Katharine McGuinness was born in New York in 1953. She attended the Philadelphia College of Art, and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1976.
Today, Katharine is a professional printmaker and a master printer for several professional artists. She has taught at the college level, and has exhibited her work widely in the Denver area, nationally, and in numerous private collections across the United States. She has maintained her independent studio in Denver since 1978.
Katharine's most recent work is an abstract series rich with colors that are bold, uplifting, moody, and alluring. The sophisticated palette and intimate size of her pieces beckon the viewer to experience a personal ambiance, and play within the space created by her unique composition and color.
